Photos Slim Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
Photos Slim (PhotoDiet) is a local storage optimizer designed to keep core actions on your device. This privacy policy explains what information we process, why we process it, and what choices you have.
2. Information we process
- Photo library content. With your permission, the app reads photos/videos, album structures, and related information (such as capture time or location) to analyze storage usage, group items, and recommend slimming actions.
- Subscription and purchase information (if applicable). If you subscribe, the transaction is handled by Apple. We only receive what is necessary to verify your subscription status; we do not receive your payment card details.
- Device and app status information. For example, permission status, available storage, and cache usage, strictly to drive UI and scheduling. If you enable “Share With App Developers” in iOS settings, Apple may provide crash/diagnostic information to help us improve stability.
- Local app data. Photos Slim stores on-device caches and indexes to improve performance and recommendations, and saves your in-app preferences.
Unless stated in this policy, we do not upload your photos/videos or photo library metadata to our servers. We do not run ads, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties.
3. Why we access data
Processing is performed on-device whenever possible: to analyze storage usage, estimate potential savings, preview items you can remove, provide filtering/grouping and recommendations, and keep your preferences (for example, appearance and sorting).
4. Storage and retention
Caches and indexes stay on your device and are not automatically exported or uploaded elsewhere. You can clear caches from Settings. Uninstalling the app removes the app’s local data on your device (including caches and indexes).
5. Third-party services and network access
Photos Slim does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Some features may require necessary network interactions with Apple-provided services, such as subscription status verification, downloading originals to your device from iCloud (when you allow it), and showing location information.
6. Your choices and control
- Disable photo library access from the system settings if you do not want the app to scan your media; the features will gracefully degrade.
- Use the “Clear Cache” button to remove cached files from the device.
- Email 331371582@qq.com if you have questions or feedback.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when we add new features. The version published at this URL is the most up to date. If you have questions, email 331371582@qq.com.
